and the Curtain falls.......

SO lately I've started collecting neglected pot-plant flowers from our food shop to start a window garden. You see, they sell them at the food store but the air-conditioning kills them, so then me and my housemate come and save them!

So far we have 3 little pot plants on the window sill and they all have names. There is one with these big red flowers and it's name is 'Miss Scarlet' like from the detective games, my housemate bought that one. Then I have a little native Australian one thats supposed to bloom little blue flowers but it hasn't yet, it's name is 'Sally'. Then yesterday I rescued one for $3.20 and its got these adorable little tiny red flowers all over its and it's name is 'Kim Kardashian' I don't even know why. Probably because it was obnoxiously bold.

In the spirit of saving things, I was recently in our corner op-shop (thrift store, second hand store) and noticed a cute little curtain that was constantly overlooked. I think it may have been from back in the day when lace curtains were all the rage, old but still fairly cute. So I took it home and started to make a dress out of it only to realize because it was soo heavy the lace would never fall right.

I then proceeded to just mess with it until this little creation popped out of the lace all by itself! Sometimes I wear it with a belt but I think it falls pretty cute.

This is the first creation to sport the new 'Tea With Lori' tags which I recently got printed over ebay! They're uber cute I'll have to find a photo of one. (well, its....er at the top of this blog anyway te-he)
